From the Youth President: What a joy it is to be a Christian young person! Many people act like the devil is in charge of all the teenagers in the world. Satan would have you believe that just so you would give up. Do NOT listen to him! He is a liar and will always be. There are many, many young people who are making commitments to Christ and are making a difference in their world. Keep your chin up!!! God has a great plan for Godly teenagers.

Youth Convention 2009 Memories

First Bible Methodist Church, Chattanooga, TN

Friday, February 6, we had a district Youth Rally with Brent Vernon in concert. Over 125 people (including 50-60 young people) attended the event. Several churches were represented: Chattanooga First, Crandall, Temple, Flat Rock and Friendsville Bible Methodists along with folks from the Iglesia Hispana Evangelica de Santidad in Dalton, and a Korean Presbyterian congregation in East Ridge.

Saturday, February 7, we held an all-day Youth Convention. Rev. Doug Eads spoke in three sessions and a talented group of young people from Crandall BMC provided us with some beautiful instrumental music and singing. Attendance for this event was 30-35 young people.

Bro. Eads did a great job connecting with our teens on topics that were relevant to their daily lives and struggles. The area pastors and lay people are to be greatly commended for doing such a great job rallying their young people and making the weekend such a success. Plans are already being discussed for having another Youth Convention somewhere in our district next year.

Thanks to Rev. R.G. Hutchison for the report and photos!

Youth Camp 2008 Memories

Campgrounds, Pell City, AL

It was exciting to see 111 campers at Youth Camp in Pell City last June. This was the highest number of campers in over 20 years!--plus all of the help that came from the Bible Colleges. What was even more special was the number of campers who really got honest with God during the services! God is still moving in the lives of teenagers.

Thanks to Eric Hughes for these photos!
