A MOMentous Mothers' Day at Faith Bible Methodist Church!

We broke our record attendance in our Mother's Day Sunday morning service! It was a thrill to have twenty-seven people present, eleven of whom were first time visitors. We had an uplifting, God-honoring service which also honored the mothers who were present. Three people gave tribute to their mothers publicly.

The highlight of the service was when Tommy and Kendal Boggs presented their baby, Benny Noah Boggs, to be dedicated to the Lord. Tommy was saved in one of the first services that we held here in Columbus.

Following the service we enjoyed "dinner-on-the-grounds" outside the parsonage on the church property. We had a delicious meal, and a wonderful time of Christian fellowship.

On Sunday evening, we had three first-time visitors and one visitor who had not been with us for some time. It was truly a momentous day in our short history!

Spring Church Expansion Rallies

growth.tif Throughout 2007, you generously invested prayer, effort and money to plant Faith Bible Methodist Church in Columbus, GA. You planted, the Goings have been watering and God has been giving the increase! We are eager to bring a good report during the Spring Church Expansion Rallies of the great things God has been doing for us. We will also share strategic ideas and plans we have for 2008 to help the church become established.

Pastor Curtis & Jennifer Going will be present at every rally to give first-hand accounts of God’s work in this new venture. (Bro Hedstrom or Bro Ingram will also attend as their schedules permit.) The purpose of the Rallies is to report progress, project goals and raise 300 shares to support the Goings throughout the next conference year.

We’ll be visiting in as many of the churches as we possibly can. If we are unable to visit your church, we hope you will make arrangements to participate in a Rally hosted by a church near you.
