Christian Education Secretary

Christian Education is teaching with a Christ centered philosophy. Christ is the author of ALL knowledge.  It is here that we plant and water the soil for a harvest of Christian workers for both home and abroad.  It is here that we are truly “Beholding the Harvest.”

The Alabama conference has designated the month of March as Christian Education month.  During this month we are to promote a philosophy of Christian education plus be an encouragement to those involved in Christian education.

Each year we send a poster with a theme to each church to be placed on their bulletin boards.  We send the addresses of teachers and administrators so that cards of encouragement can be sent to those actively involved.  Included in these are not only local schools but also Bible Methodist at the Bible schools.  We encourage our churches to plan Christian Education services in the month of March.

The Bible Methodist Christian School located at Pell City, Alabama, has been in existence since 1969.  Joseph Hedstrom is the administrator.  There are currently 91 students.  The school regularly sends out a newsletter keeping those in the conference aware of activities and needs.  The school administration also plans meetings in different conference churches to promote the school.

For six years the Alabama Bible Methodist Camp has hosted the Inter-Collegiate Ministerial.  The Bible College ministerial majors come together for a week-end of spiritual fellowship and practical teachings in their called field of ministry.
